A New Show for a New Year

Hi Friends!

I hope you are having a wonderful beginning to the new year. I
certainly am.

This Thursday, Jan 13th, SAVA, San Antonio Visual Artists is having a
reception at The Foundry, a wonderful little coffee shop in San
Antonio. I have three of my photos there, and, of course, I'm just
thrilled. The Foundry is at 2720 McCullough Avenue, and the reception
is from 6:30-8:30. It will be an evening of good art, coffee, company,
and live music! Please come if you can.

This month's drawing is for my photograph "Wash Day." I took the photo
on a beautiful Spring day in Castroville Texas, and it just felt right
today. I guess I'm just looking forward to warm, flower-filled days.
My computer program picked Karen Watson, whom I met last month in
Blanco. So Karen, send me your snail mail address, and I'll send you
the photo.

On the first of the month, my friend Chris and I went to the Oldtown
Helotes Market. It was a beautiful day, and we had a lot of fun. That
afternoon, a woman carefully looked through all of my photos, giving
me the kind of attention that makes me very happy. When she was done,
she turned to me, smiled, and said, "What a fun job."

No kidding. I am having the time of my life taking pictures and
meeting people like you. I plan to keep doing it as long as I can.
