New Song Coming Soon!

Hi Everyone:

I wanted to send a quick message to you all to let you know that I am
going into the studio next week to record my newest song called,
Finders Weepers. The message of this song has been on my heart for
many years, in fact, the title comes from a sermon I wrote in
college. The scriptural basis for the song is: Whoever seeks to save
his life will lose it but whoever seeks to lose his life for my sake
will save it. It's another one of those classic twists where Jesus
takes popular life philosophies and turns them on their head. I think
this message is particularly needed these days where even in the
church, so many of us run around trying to please the world and
succeed in the world, AND please God. Only a life lived with the
Kingdom of God as the focus will be fulfilling. So, stay tuned for my
new song. Felix Weber has done an amazing job arranging the song. It
sounds like it was produced in Nashville and has the pop-country
flavor that I've come to love! I hope to release it by the end of
May, 2010 and have it available for download on my website for .99
cents.

I also wanted to let you know that I'm making a more deliberate effort
to write a blog. The Lord has been stirring much in my heart lately
and I would love to share it with you. Check out http://karenburkhart.blogspot.com/
periodically.
