Hi Friends and Family:

This week I sent my oldest son, Tyler, off to first grade. So, for
the first time in 7 years, he will be away from me for the majority of
the day. In 3 weeks I'll send my youngest to preschool 3 afternoons
per week. As many parents in this circumstance often reflect, it's
bittersweet. Overall, I'm looking forward to this new season in life
which will include dental appointments without a child sitting on my
lap or asking me a question while my mouth is propped open. There's a
bright side in every situation!

The last time I updated you I was anticipating a review of my CD in
the magazine, "PowerSource". I told you I would let you read it when
it was published. To be completely honest, I was taken aback a little
by some of the perceived negativity of the review and I wasn't so sure
I wanted to share it. However, my zProducer, Felix Weber, who has
experience the gamut of reviews personally, has helped me put things
in perspective and reminded me that even reviews with some negativity
are better than no reviews; the magazine editors must have heard
enough good to warrant the effort to review. So, after taking a few
deep breaths and stepping away for a few weeks, I am ready to share.

Thanks to a generous donation from a loyal "fan" in Ottawa, ON, I am
moving forward with my plan to travel to Nashville in October in order
to participate in The 16th Annual Inspirational Country Music Week. I
have been invited to "showcase" there and am awaiting details of the
performance date/time. I will be performing, You, Me, and Jesus in a
Ryder Truck and my newest single, Finders Weepers. The audience will
be filled with industry professionals and othe artists. I have no idea
what to expect from this opportunity so I'll just take it as it
comes. Perhaps someone there will connect with one of my songs and
desire to record it for themselves!

I am still offering my CD, Just One Glimpse, at $12.00 or mutiples at
$10. The money from sales will go to cover additional Convention
expenses.

Blessings to all of you! Thanks for your interest and support!

Karen
