First of our intersectionality outreach events! Please forward to lists relevant to queerness, Chican@ identity, first gen issues, immigration, health care, sexual health, and open relationships/non-monogamy.

 Kardinal Kink x MEChA

Thursday April 2, 5 - 6pm
Casa Zapata Lounge

What do you do when...
your ID-less mother barges into a kink dungeon she followed you to
you can't get health care, let alone queer, kink-aware, non-slut-shaming health care
come out to a hundred nuns at once as undocumented and queer
try to marry your girlfriend for papers after DOMA gets struck down
are faced with another narrow escape from the police
                                                            ..?

Kardinal Kink and MEChA co-host an event with a guest student speaker all about the messy intersections of immigration, hispanic identity, open relationships, queerness, and non-normative sexuality.... and trying to make sense of it all through writing. In this open discussion circle, listen to others share and (if you wish) talk about your own stories. Get answers about what the kink community, being in a non-monogamous relationship, and undocuqueer activism are really like and hear what it's like to be Chican@ and a Latin@ immigrant in that space.

Some stories are funny, some are painful, but they're all relevant to struggles we face as 'other'ed identities. This isn't a niche topic; what oppresses some of us oppresses all of us. Liberation starts where solidarity begins; la unión hace la fuerza!

This is a public Kardinal Kink event. We also hold events exclusively for members, such as workshops, social events, and carpooling to other local Bay Area events. Most members are concerned about their anonymity, so we don't list these events publicly.

Want to join Kardinal Kink? Talk to us at Office Hours!

Fridays 2 pm - 4 pm in the LGBT CRC

or email us to meet more privately at kardin...@gmail.com

Attendance at Kardinal Kink events is voluntary and intended for consenting adults, age 18 and older. While topics focus on healthy relationships and behavior, some topics may be triggering for survivors of sexual assault and relationship abuse. Resources are available at notalone.stanford.edu.
