WAKASAN: End corruption and fascism under Marcos Jr.-Duterte the main rally call on Human Rights Day
An end to corruption and fascism under the Marcos Jr.-Duterte will be the main rally call of the protests set on December 10, International Human Rights Day.
Human rights alliance KARAPATAN and BAYAN (Bagong Alyansang Makabayan) will lead thousands, with the assembly program at Liwasang Bonifacio. Victims and families of victims of rights violations will highlight their experiences of fascist terror under Marcos Jr. Human rights defenders and representatives from different organizations will cry out how fascism and corruption steals lives and rights from the people.
After the program, the rally contingent will proceed with the march to Mendiola. At the front of the march is the protest effigy for this year’s Human Rights Day, the “King and Kwin Korap-Pasista.” The twin effigies show two giant luggages full of money, and seated on them are larger than life-size images of BBM and Sara, both holding armalites. The effigy depicts the people’s call to hold accountable the King and Queen of Fascism and Corruption - Ferdinand Marcos Jr. and Sara Duterte.

Meanwhile, protest actions and similar activities will be held in the key cities and provinces in the country.
