UCCP Shalom Center
1660 L. Ma. Guerrero Street Manila, Metro Manila Philippines

Ahead of the Congressional budget hearings of the Office of the President, under which are the funds of the NTF-ELCAC and billions of confidential and intelligence funds (CIF), a network of rights defenders will be launched in response to the growing human rights violations under the Ferdinand Marcos Jr. government.

San Carlos Bp. Gerardo Alminaza leads the convening of MANINDIGAN, which aims to amplify the voices of rural and Indigenous communities who bear the brunt of state terrorism and militarization in the countryside.

MANINDIGAN condemns how public funds are used to fund bombings of communities, indiscriminate firing of civilians, red-tagging, harassment, among others.

Lawmakers, human rights defenders, lawyers, faith-based leaders, artists, environmental advocates, peasants, and representatives from Indigenous and Moro communities.

Media coverage is requested.
