RALLY on the 6th year of detention of the TACLOBAN 5

Journalists, rights advocates, families and supporters of political prisoners, commemorate the 6th year of the unjust arrest and detention of the Tacloban 5 in a protest in front of the Department of Justice.

They continue to call for the release of Alexander Philip “Chakoy” Abinguna, Frenchie Mae Cumpio, and Marielle Domequil, who were arrested on Feb 7, 2020.  Their case exposes how trumped-up charges, anti-terror laws, and arbitrary detention are being used to silence journalists and rights defenders.
