RELEASE CHANTAL ANICOCHE!
We have learned from media reports that Chantal Anicoche, the 24-year-old Filipina community leader from the United States, who was reported missing at the time of the military attacks in Abra de Ilog, Occidental Mindoro, has been surfaced.
We are one with her family, friends and colleagues that Ms. Anicoche be returned safely to her immediate family. Her rights should be respected at all times. Ms. Anicoche should be released the soonest from the custody of the Armed Forces of the Philippines.
We strongly emphasize that Ms. Anicoche should not be put under any form of torture, interrogation, threat, harassment, and intimidation from any unit of the AFP.
Ms. Anicoche is a recent B.S. Psychology graduate from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County, and a respected leader in the Filipino American Student Association (FASA).
