Groups to hold press conference on the illegal arrests of September 21 protesters

📌 What: Press Conference on the September 21 Illegal Arrests
📅 When: September 26, 2025 (Friday), 10:00 AM
📍 Where: 1 Maaralin St. Brgy. Central Quezon City


Groups led by KARAPATAN, NUPL (National Union of People's Lawyers) and BAYAN (Bagong Alyansang Makabayan) will hold a press conference tomorrow, Friday, September 26, 2025, to denounce and provide updates on the continuing detention of more than 200 individuals who were illegally arrested during and after the September 21 rallies in Manila.

Representatives from human rights and people’s organizations, as well as families of those detained, will be present to give testimonies and statements.

They continue to call for the immediate release of the more than 200 individuals, at least 91 of
them are minors, and condemn other rights violations against the protesters and also their families.
