On the writs of amparo and habeas data petition filed by family of missing activist James Jazmines


WHAT: Silent Symbolic Action

WHEN: October 1, 2025 (Wednesday), 9:30 AM

WHERE: Front of Court of Appeals, Manila


The family, lawyers and groups supporting the petition filed by Cora Jazmines, wife of missing activist James Jazmines, for writs of amparo and habeas data, will hold a silent symbolic action in front of the Court of Appeals building in Manila.


James Jazmines is one of two activists missing after their abduction in Tabaco City, Albay in August 2024. The other activist, Felix Salaveria Jr., whose abduction in broad daylight was caught on CCTV, has already been granted a writ of amparo and habeas data. Hearings on the petition 
for protective writs filed by the Jazmines family are still ongoing at the Court of Appeals.


Cora Jazmines, her family’s lawyers as well as representatives from Desaparecidos, Karapatan and other human rights organizations will be present.
