JAIL THE CORRUPT! FREE ALL POLITICAL PRISONERS!
Human rights groups, families of detainees, and people’s organizations will hold a protest on December 3 at the DOJ to demand the release of the 697 political prisoners jailed on trumped-up charges, while corrupt officials and rights violators remain free.
The action will call out continuing corruption and repression under the Marcos and Duterte regimes, and highlight cases of activists and ordinary citizens unjustly detained for defending people’s rights.
Speakers from rights groups and families of political prisoners will reiterate demands to:
• Free all political prisoners
• Stop criminalizing dissent
• Hold corrupt officials and human rights violators accountable
