PROTEST ACTION AT AFP NATIONAL HEADQUARTERS

Indigenous people’s rights advocates, peasant organizations, and human rights defenders will hold a protest action in front of the AFP national headquarters on Tuesday, as IHL and HR violations are bound to continue amidst the approval of the Marcos Jr. administration’s new National Security Policy.
“The new NSP bodes ill for the human rights situation in the Philippines, under the Marcos Jr. government which has continued the attacks on persons and communities through killings, abduction and arrests, red-tagging, military deployment in communities, and aerial or artillery bombings,” according to rights alliance Karapatan.
