I want to find free hosting like OpenShift. Is it possible to deploy kara-project there?

I don't really know anything about OpenShift specifically, but all you need to run a Kara project is really a JVM and access to the file system. That being said, there hasn't been a lot of work done yet about how to best use Kara in a production environment.
