Ces amours-là’ by Claude Lelouch,
2010, 2h00

Ilva gives her heart away too easily. During the German occupation, she falls for a Nazi which indirectly leads to the death of her father and she is summoned to answer some questions. Saved by two good-hearted American soldiers, Jim and Bob, their ménage-à-trois also ends up tragically.

What does being Pan-African mean today?

In a landmark year, as the African Union celebrated 50yrs of the founding of the Organization of African Unity and when Kenya celebrates its 50yrs of Independence, the French Institute for Research in Africa, the French Embassy and Alliance Française present the 3rd Science Café of the year on ‘African Independences & Pan-Africanism’. It coincides with the conference on ‘50th Anniversary of the East African Independences: Marginalized, Forgotten & Revived Political Actors’ organized by IFRA and the British Institute in Eastern Africa. A short extract from the 4-part series ‘Africa, History of a Continent’ will precede discussions on the future of contemporary Pan-African ideals.

This is a gut-busting original comedy that will arguably put into focus the society, which is made of strange Kenyans. We Kenyans have called animals all sorts of names. Pigs have been labeled dirty and greedy. Cats selfish and self-centered. Dogs have been branded immoral. This brutally and hilariously funny original comedy will prove to as all that humans have perfected all those ills, that the animals are now a class above the humans. So when we all die, we will most certainly choose to come back as animals.
This gut-crushing comedy will simply be asking us: which animal will you want to come back as?
