How should the bidding go after the 1nt opening?

My partner and I play two-way Stamen, so our auction would start:

1NT-2D
2H-3D
3H (diamond support, A of hearts)-3S (encouraging, A of spades)
4S (no club control or stopper, K of spades)-?

Responder has a six-loser hand. Opener’s diamond length should cover one loser, A of hearts and K of spades cover two more. I know we have no wasted values in clubs. I need partner to have two major suit queens or QJ in one of the majors to make 6D, and partner has 5-7 HCP unaccounted for by his cuebids. 6D is a reasonable bid, but if opener held

then even 5D might go down. (Granted, that is a skinny 1NT opener.)

My partnerships would bid the same as Richard's, although we wouldn't worry about finding opener with...

QJxx

That isn't an opening bid in KS.

Per A-8, a strict KSU auction would begin:

1N  2C
2H  3D¹
3N²   ?

¹ Nat, forcing, unknown length
² ♤s stopped but denies 4

Given his ◇ fit, opener might rebid 4N in lieu of 3N (forcing, requests suits up-the line). Responder would repeat his ◇s, then Opener might cuebid 4H.  Then...

It's all kinda squishy, which is why we play 2-way Stayman.
