2D, constructive, not a W2 in 4th.

Thanks, I am fully aware that a 4th seat weak 2 isn't say about 5-9. One would just pass with that. However do you play it as 9-12, or 10-13 or 10-14 or even 10-15?
Holding a very good suit , 14 hcp, 6-4 shape and only 5 losers, isn't this too good for a 4th seat weak 2? How much is this hand worth using the KnR evaluation? About 16?

Lack of Aces suggests it is going to be tricky  encouraging partner towards  3NT if I show extras - and 5D opposite a passed hand is unlikely...

He cannot have more than 2A (with 3 QT or AAK unbalanced good chance he opens)

Hence 2D opening is just fine (and given you hold only 3 M cards, very rerluctant to let opponents in).

NB if C & S reversed, it is a completely different matter as the possibility of M fit ...

It's 16.3 K&R (really?!), which would normally be 1D. However, I'd
still open 2D for tactical reasons. If the bidding comes back to me at
2M, which seems likely, I can compete with 3C (or 2NT, depending on
agreements) and not have understated the D length. I'd rather play a
6-2 than a 4-3.

A secondary reason is that the K&R looks too optimistic to me: no aces,
short majors, and little defensive value.
