Playing IMP pairs.

I think 6nt by South or 6s by South should have been the final contract, but how do you think the bidding should have proceeded after the strange 2c overcall?

After North opened 1S on S:8 H:AQT754 D:QJ5 C:AT5
and South after (pass):1S:(2C) bid 2H on S:AKQJ54 H:9 D:AKT C:J92,
there is no way to continue "correctly". NS deserve at best whatever
happened to them.

It seems to me that North’s solid spades are the most urgent feature to describe.

The 3D and 4C bids are both inexplicable.  Opener had a clear 3S rebid.  Responder had a clear 3N call over 3D.

The final 4S call is also absurd.  4C should have extras.  Having already made a scientific approach impossible, opener should leap to 6S over 4C.
