Raven Reyes is a major character in the second, third, fourth, fifth, sixth, and seventh seasons, after appearing as a recurring character in the first season. She is portrayed by starring cast member Lindsey Morgan and debuts in "Earth Skills".
While on Earth, Raven was the primary mechanic and explosives expert for the Delinquents. Raven is not part of the original the 100, however, she barters her way down to Earth with the help of Abigail Griffin to join her boyfriend, Finn Collins, by refurbishing an escape pod. Once on Earth, Raven builds a radio that allows the Delinquents to make contact with the Ark. She also created walkie-talkies, bullets, grenades and bombs for the 100, and even instructs Clarke Griffin and Jasper Jordan on how to rig the dropship to "blast off" in the Season One finale.
During the second season, Raven struggles with nerve damage in her left leg from a gunshot injury she received when John Murphy shot her on the dropship. She also has to deal with the after-effects of Finn's massacre at Tondc, including witnessing him die at the hands of Clarke. Raven is later tortured by Grounders when they believe she tried to poison their Commander. After Bellamy infiltrates Mount Weather, she establishes radio contact with him to help him disable the Acid Fog. Later, she and Wick take out Mount Weather's electricity by disabling their dam. They are caught by the Mountain Men and Raven is once again tortured when they begin harvesting her bone marrow. At the end of Season Two, she is in Camp Jaha, recovering from the latter.
In the third season, Raven continues to struggle with her pain. She joins A.L.I.E.'s cult in an attempt to be freed from it, but rebels when she realizes she can not remember Finn. However, Raven eventually submits to A.L.I.E., who uses her to force Abby to take the chip, leading to the fall of Arkadia. Raven is later un-chipped and actively works against A.L.I.E., trying to destroy her by accessing the City of Light code with the help of Monty and Clarke. She retains a small part of A.L.I.E.'s code in her head, increasing her brain processing speed and overall making her much smarter.
In the fourth season Raven returns to Arkadia with her people and begins fortifying Alpha Station to shield from the upcoming second nuclear apocalypse. After discovering that Nightblood gives radiation resistance, Raven leaves with a small team to go to Becca's Island to figure out how to reverse engineer the blood. There, Raven begins to suffer seizures and hallucinations, but manages to cure it and finds a rocket. At the end of the season, she escapes Priamfaya by retreating to the remains of the Ark in space.
In the fifth season, Raven is surviving with Spacekru on the Ark. After traveling with Spacekru to Eligius IV, Raven volunteers to stay in space while the rest of the group returns to the ground. When she and Murphy are discovered onboard, she is tortured by McCreary for information. She develops a romantic relationship with Miles Shaw. In the Season Five finale, Raven launches the Eligius IV back into space, after McCreary drops Damocles, a Hytholodium bomb, on Eden.
In Season Six, she stays on Eligius IV, while others go down to the new habitable world. When she arrives and sees Shaw's grave, she breaks down in tears. During the season, she primarily stays out of sight working in a machine shop and exploring Sanctum. At first, she was just trying on building a compound for her people, but when tensions between Wonkru and the Primes increases, she becomes a lead pilot, flying Gagarin from the moon back to the mothership. She also works to remove Sheidheda from the Flame permanently, which she successfully did.
In Season Seven, Raven struggles with the consequences of her decisions after her efforts to stop a reactor meltdown results in the deaths of four people. Wearing the armor of one of the Disciples, Raven becomes the guide of a group using the Temporal Anomaly to find and rescue their missing friends. Ultimately, Raven succeeds in the test to determine the future of the human race when Octavia Blake convinces the two factions to stand down, causing the Judge to change her mind and transcend humanity. Like the rest of Clarke's friends, Raven chooses to return to human form to live out the rest of her life on Earth rather than to remain transcended, so that Clarke will not be alone forever.
Around Raven's 18th birthday, Finn presented her with a handmade metal raven trinket on a chain for good luck on her Zero-G exam. She passed the test with the first perfect score since they had been giving it, however, she failed the physical due to a heart murmur. Later, Finn tells her he has another birthday present for her. He borrowed a spacesuit from the Maintenance Bay and has found a way to get her the spacewalk she had always dreamed of.
After Raven's illegal spacewalk while she was getting undressed, an alarm sounded an "outer door breach." Raven tried to figure out where the door breach was but ended up instructing Finn to use the manual override to get her back into the Ark. In doing so, the breach lost three months of oxygen. Finn then instructed Raven to take off the spacesuit for him to wear because Raven was over eighteen and would have been floated whereas Finn was still underage. While Finn was in Lockup, Raven would go see him every Visitation Day.
In Earth Skills, up in space, Raven is finishing up a spacewalk to repair part of the outside of the Ark. She comes back in through an airlock and Red and another mechanic help her get out of her spacesuit. She asks them about the dropship launching and Red tells her that an accident during routine maintenance caused them to eject it. Raven lifts up a necklace with a metal charm in the shape of a raven and puts it on. She asks them to stash her gear because she's on her way to visit her boyfriend in Lockup. Red tells her that Lockup was quarantined for some virus and there is no visitation for two months.
Raven finds and confronts Abby about the quarantine and how she saw open ducts. Abby explains the virus isn't airborne and Raven confronts her about The Council hiding something. Later, Jackson and Abby are going over the data from the wristbands when Abby catches Raven eavesdropping from the air ducts. Raven tells them the Delinquents aren't dying; they're taking off their wristbands because they were told not to.
Raven is called into a level of the Ark that is considered off-limits. Abby tells Raven that the Ark is dying and Abby has ten days to prove the earth is survivable before they reduce the population by 320 people. Abby reveals a 130-year-old escape pod and tells Raven to get it ready in nine days. Raven tells her she can do it but she is going with Abby to earth.
In Murphy's Law, Abby meets with Raven at the drop ship she is refurbishing. Raven tells Abby the delay is because she needs a pressure regulator before they can launch. Abby tells Raven that Clarke's wristband went out and Raven tells her she will get a pressure regulator that day. Raven then leaves for the Mess Hall to speak with Nygel, the woman in charge of the black market on board the Ark. She asks for a pressure regulator and Nygel tells Raven that she will need to sleep with the Chief of Electrical in order to get the part. Raven tells Nygel to float herself and Nygel tells Raven that her mother took that deal...many times, causing Raven to fly off the handle and be carried out by Nygel's workers.
Raven then goes and waits in a long line for Medical. She approaches Abby and coughs discreetly. Abby conducts a cursory medical check on her before pulling her away into private, explaining the long line is due to oxygen deprivation. Raven tells Abby that Nygel would not give her the pressure regulator and Abby tells Raven she can get the part from Nygel. Later, Abby approaches Nygel in the Mess Hall and slips Nygel some morphine for a pressure regulator. Back at the refurbished drop ship, Abby hands Raven a pressure regulator and Raven tells her it might take a few hours to install it. A few hours later, Abby is pacing around while Raven works on the drop ship. Jackson comes in on Abby's telecommunication device and asks if she stole morphine. He tells her that Kane is on his way to arrest both her and Raven. Abby can't believe that Nygel turned her in and asks Raven how much longer. Raven tells her twenty minutes and Abby says that Kane will be there in five. She tells Raven that no matter what, Raven needs to launch the pod, with or without her, and radio back or 300 people will die. Abby asks Raven to tell Clarke she loves her.
Raven gets the pressure regulator hooked up as Kane heads toward Mecha Station to arrest Raven and Abby. Raven realizes the pressure regulator is broken just as Kane approaches Abby who was waiting for him in a hallway. Abby tells him she did it for her daughter and she still believes the Delinquents are alive. Kane asks Abby what the pressure regulator is for and if there was even a staph infection. Raven dresses in a spacesuit since the pressure in the drop ship won't be regulated and begins the launch sequence for the pod. As Kane is having Abby arrested, Raven launches the drop ship and begins her descent to earth. Abby tells Kane they have to know the truth as Raven continues her descent to earth, her raven necklace floating weightless in the escape pod.
In Twilight's Last Gleaming, In Raven's drop ship, she is preparing to begin her descent through the atmosphere and is checking and setting her gauges. She pulls the retrofire lever and powers the thrusters to send her to earth. Raven is knocked unconscious from a head injury during the landing and Bellamy arrives to find her moving about but still unconscious. He takes out his knife and cuts the wires to the radio and yanks it out. He then takes it down to a river and tosses it in. Raven soon awakens and removes her space helmet, discovering she has a head injury just as Clarke opens the pod door and sees Raven. Raven then steps onto the ground for the first time, twirling in amazement and asking if it's raining. Clarke nods with a smile on her face and welcomes Raven to earth. Finn arrives and calls out to her. Raven runs up to him and they reunite and kiss passionately, much to Clarke's surprise. Finn asks Raven how she got to earth and she tells him how she rebuilt the pod. Raven starts to feel light-headed and Clarke comes over to assist with her head injury. Finn introduces Clarke to Raven and Raven tells Clarke how it was all Abby's doing. She then tells them about the planned culling and how they need to alert The Ark that the Delinquents are alive. They discover the missing radio and Clarke tells Finn and Raven they need to find Bellamy.
