This perfume extract opens with a sharp, zesty burst of blackcurrant and citrus, Cedrat Boise quickly lays down a sexy heart of jasmine and patchouli beneath the lingering fruity freshness, remaining lively for hours before slowly melting into a sumptuous base of cedar, sandalwood, leather, and musky oakmoss.
The one to choose when you can only choose one.

[JULY 2024]
My birthday's today-- and this $45 Mancera 8ml Travel Perfume? Out of all the artsy, hi-end fragrances I own it was Mancera's Cedrat Boise Intense that was my most complimented perfume of all time. I tried this in store with Libertine Parfumerie Australia, I only review things that catch my attention: The non-intense did not, but Cedrat Boise Intense (apparently the real OG from 2017 rebottled) was such a bright, happy, smooth, sunny, and effervescent perfume that I was won over. How could I not own something like this for $45?

HOWEVER, not to say you only need this fragrance. My most 3 most complimented fragrances besides this are:
French Flower by Matiere Premiere, an Ajmal oud-rose perfume, and MDCI's Chypre Palatin (obviously).

But see how different everyone's skin is? I tried Hacivat X by Nishane. My skin amplified the musks too much and the bright sparkling citrus was lost. However, my skin worked really well with Ani (not the X) by Nishane and the citruses were tart and sparkling to my nose with that. Problem is, I wanted perfume with the same smooth sparkling-water effect to my nose as Roja's A Midsummer Dream but good luck with that-- Roja is $595 and I'm NOT spending that much for a perfume when Cedrat Boise Intense by Mancera not only costs $45 for an 8ml but captures an adjacent sunny, ozonic tartness as A Midsummer Dream did. That, I will say, is the only similarity they have. Please get A Midsummer Dream if you can afford, what a dream that performs on my skin. Also, Ani is too sweet on my skin, and I already previously owned Lira by Casamorati (alongside being a previous gourmand connosieur.)

Cedrat Boise Intense has the same tart, sharp, ozonic (sparkling but not at all alhydelic-powdery), and smoooth scent to the nose as a proper served Italian Gin and Tonic. I would say it's as smooth as a Bond No 9 NYC concoction (used to own a sample of Perfumista Avenue), and resembles grapefruit rind oil unlike Bois Blanc by Frapin or a Hermessence citrus perfume which smells more like sweet orange (and my skin amplifies sweet a LOT.)
If I had to compare, Cedrat Bois Intense has the same tingliness and smoothness to the nose as a Malfy Gin.

This Mancera will disappear when you go to bed, but simply reapply and it's good again. It lasted the whole night for me and has similar longetivity as Nasomatto's Absinth (another one I did not get over Mancera since Absinth does not have the sparkle, but it does have the sweet-patchouli-vetiver-ish smoothness on my skin. I also recommend this perfume, too.) Note however, that I was using this during winter season in Australia. Don't know how it'd perform in Summer, it could be overkill to overspray.

Cedrat Boise Intense was a keeper since I haven't had a perfume besides the other 2 mentioned earlier (MDCI, Ajmal) that had people audibly sniffing and walking towards my direction. LOL! Once again however, everyone's skin performs differently (mine amplifies balsams and citruses hence Creed is a no-go for me.) However, Hacivat X by Nishane might be the best for you. Even a Bond No 9 Rose-Oud combo. Either way, who nose.

Thanks to all the compliments I've received IRL, Mancera is now a signature scent for me alongside that Ajmal, and MDCI. Once again, if I had the money, I would get the Roja-- whereas Mancera's is one-or-two note, that perfume transforms in the skin like a 5 course meal. In the meantime, for $45, I will gift this to my friends and myself. Highly recommended.

Masterful 5/5 fragrance! I have not tried the original one but this is great perfumery. It's light, airy, smoky, fresh and fruity at the same time. Perfect for all occasions, and a good office-friendly one. The only negative thing with it is that it's very linear. Opening is the same as 5 hours into the fragrance, only difference is that it turns slightly more smoky during the time. Still masterful though!

Yeah got a bottle of this last year. I like it. To my nose very blackcurrent fruity with a leather, musky and smokey kind of vibe. The batch I got was quite strong as I apppiled some and a vistor said they could smell it walking up to my house lol.

The only thing I dont like about it is if you spray too much it can get real burny/synthetic like.

I would suggest a try before you buy (tho I blind bought it) and not spray to much as it can get very overwhelming.

Hate it. I do not get the hype at all. Smells like the perfumer was trying to encapsulate lemon squeezed on a dead animal. I know it's a bit harsh but it stinks. I don't get people saying it's mass-appealing, it isn't. I don't like Mancera or Montale in general tbh and this fragrance is the main bit of fuel for that. Very synthetic not well-blended imo.
Lasts a long time on my skin like 10hrs + which isn't much of a positive considering the scent. Decent projection aswell would fill a good distance of the stench.
9/10 longevity
8.5/10 projection
1/10 scent ?

I really hope i just need to macerate this. So far ive had it for almost 2 weeks and only get a strong lemon smell for like 20 mins and then all is gone ,no more smell. I wonder how much longer i must wait to finnaly realize i wasted my money.

It literally smells like the original but longer lasting and stronger.

Many people say it isnt as versatile as the original but i still find it nice for school or office and u cant go wrong with it but if u like the orginal Cedrat Boise u will definitly like this one just as much if not more.

Nice office suit up summer scent.
Roomfiler for 1-2 hour with citruss scent, sitting on the skin with the citrus scent after 2 hrs, emerging to leathery animalistic scent after that for two more hrs with a moderate sillage-trail, becoming a skin scent after 4 hrs on my skin [ and clothes :) ]
Longevity not as prescribed for me and those asked around me.
Idk how it prescribed beast. Im wearing it in daytime aprx 25-30 C. It acts same at 30-37 C.

Cedrat Boise Intense Is a BEAST MODE Fragrance. After wearing it for a couple days, I've gotten to really enjoy all the stages from the opening to the dry down. On the Opening you get a very strong citrus scent, that blends well with the woody and leather notes. It does give off some musk and sweetness in the dry down, which is very enjoyable. I bought this fragrance as a blind buy and 10/10 would recommend for those who enjoy a good, strong masculine scent.

I LOVE Cedrat Boise, but man...Intense Cedrat Boise has something about it that gives it more depth and makes the original smell incomplete in comparison. To me it has a somewhat wet, cooling note akin to fermented fruit (in a good way) that gives it more complexity even though it smells recognizably like Cedrat Boise, which smells unique and cannot be mistaken for something else.

Usually, flankers don't do it for me, but this version I think is superior. Makes the original smell synthetic and flat to my nose, even if by itself, I love it and find it one of the best fragrances I've ever smelled. I suggest you sample it, because it's not a guarantee that the differences will be of your liking. I can see someone hating it, because while not a drastic difference, it's enough to maybe put you off if you like the original exactly as is.

A mass-appealing, very, very likable citrusy, mossy, spicy and woody fragrance. I cannot comment on how similar It is to Aventus, but It is a more mature and refined version of the original Cedrat Boise. It does perform well. Alas, it's a fresh, citrus based composition, so It will not have the longevity of an Oud perfume. Perfect for daily use, and for the office. Highly versatile.

I really don't like the fragrance with intense name but this one is an exception. Mancera definitely one of the best medium prices niche house, also their fragrances are really good. When I heard about this virsion I thought it wouldn't be that good but to my surprise It tuned out to be the best mancera fragrance to me. You should try it. It is better than the original for sure.

The citrus lasts like 10 minutes on my skin, then immediately enters dry-down and all I get is the smoke and leather. With the citrus it's pleasant, but it doesn't last long at all for me and goes straight to smelling like burnt rubber. Lots of YouTubers saying this is a blind buy, I would not recommend that, try it first. I can see the Aventus comparison, it has the same progression but with different ingredients. If you like Aventus you'll probably like this.

I'm just in shock of the times I spray this thing a day, I'm absolutely addicted to this fragrance, one of my favorites at low-cost and smells high-cost, overall 9/10 very elegant smell, if you think to blind buy it just do it already, you won't be disappointed. Cheers !

Blind bought this and like its ass. If you like Tom Ford Ombre Leather you'll definitely like this one, but if you don't like that or leather in general, you wont like it. This fragrance to me is just straight leather with no other accords. Extremely regret blind buying this fragrance. Leans very masculine, and meant for well-put middle-aged men I suppose. Maybe this would grow on me, but I don't imagine myself wearing this fragrance ever in my life.

This starts with a sharp and fresh synthetic capsicum opening that smells exactly like two cobras flopping about as they attempt to steal a bag of garam masala from a vendor who is distracted by a freak eclipse of the sun. Drying down to a wooden library where two old men sit on leather couches and read dusty old books about hunting deer in times before we would log onto the internet just to clarify that we live 11 minutes from our local grocery store. Wear this if you like complex things like solving a sudoku puzzle while unicycling over a bridge designed only for vehicles, or perhaps trying to complete an adult colour in book without colouring outside of the lines at 4am in the morning. If you would prefer to become a salad than eat one, this one is for you. 7/10.
