Increasing value of CommonJS package and utility for CouchDB

Hi, recently I filed a few issues on github concerning the general utility of application metadata, Kanso in relation to other possible build tools, and increasing the value of the CommonJS modules to anything using CouchDB. 

As it stands the repo has only a possibly narrow use for kansoapps. I believe this limits its utility. I have suggested a possible alternate structure that is somewhat familiar to node developers. In any case, am happy to discuss any of this for the benefit of increasing access to the modules. Please consider this constructive. Would simple like to increasing the benefit of the packages and metadata. I would be also apt to contribute packages under such circumstances.
