The Kansas City Star has published an excellent editorial about the "ballot candy" deception in the ban-ranking constitutional amendment:

The author is with Show Me Integrity, which advocates for approval voting rather than ranking. But this amendment would ban all alternative voting systems, so we're all in this together to stop this amendment.

I've worked up spreadsheets for the polling places in Kansas City, St. Louis, Springfield, Jefferson City, Columbia, and St. Joseph. If you have a favorite spot and would like to leaflet for voting no on banning ranking, you can call, text, or email me and I can get you listed - first come, first served. We do still need people to help organize in their own locales, and of course we'd like to add more Missouri locales, so if you'd like to help on that, please let me know. In either case, I'm happy to chat with you about it so that all ducks are in a row.

We have our application in and acknowledged for a booth at the Missouri State Fair in Sedalia August 8-18, but haven't yet heard if we'll get one. Since staffing a table requires travel to Sedalia for those who aren't already there, it's more of a project than leafleting your local polling place. But if anyone is interested in taking in the state fair, has friends to visit in the area, or otherwise wants to put in some time helping to staff that table, please let me know.

We have a treasurer for the campaign committee - Preserve Local Elections - and so expect to register it soon. We have set up a starter website, which we expect to be ready for people to use once the committee formally exists. Stay tuned.
