to Better Ballot KC, Vote No On Ranking Ban
 Vote NO
on MO Amendment 7

For Democrats in yesterday's voting, candidates mainly won with majorities, and of course would therefore have won if the voting was ranked also.

But for Republicans, pluralities won. Note below that the Secretary of State candidate won with only about a quarter of the vote, with other candidates having hefty showings.

These totals are textbook cases, practically designed to show how ranking would help. Republicans could get strong candidates to send into the general election, or strengthen the candidates they did select this way, if the candidates could have and say they have majority support from their own party.

Meanwhile, we now face a Fall's worth of activity to defeat Amendment 7 which would ban ranking on November 5. It was Republicans in the legislature who voted that in, and yet their own results show that they're shooting themselves in the foot by doing so.
