We're scheduled for a week from Saturday in the SMALL meeting room this time at the Plaza library, 2pm.

I can show the results of the survey and we can discuss it. So far, I'm not intent on changing anything, although I should decide about spending money either on meetup.com or a small projector.

Anybody have something R related to talk about?

If you plan on coming, please RSVP here, I know it's a busy time of year...

Thanks,
Madelaine

Maybe I could briefly talk about the coursera Mathematical Biostatistics Boot Camp online class, and in particular some R-related high points from the lectures on the following:

* jackknife/bootstrap
* working with log-normal distributions

If anyone is interested in it, I can talk about how to run BUGS (Bayes
Using Gibbs Sampling) within R. It's a rather specialized topic though.

The other thing I could talk about instead is developing graphic
animations in R.

Just a reminder -- R group this Saturday at 2pm, SMALL meeting room of the KC Plaza library. Room is on the right side on the way to the kids section.

Earl will talk about some of the coursera mathematical biostats course contents like jackknifing and bootstrapping, and working with log-normal distributions.

Steve will talk about Bayes Using Gibbs Sampling within R. Maybe developing graphic animations within R?

I'll show the survey results and we can discuss.

Hope to see you then!

I'll do my best to be there this afternoon but I may be a bit late.
