Sort of interesting. But maybe a tempest in a teapot. A ballot was issued; so the number of ballots was still accurate. So unless a voter "stole" a ballot from someone in the other party, not much damage occurred. But when Georgia audited mail in ballot requests, they didn't find evidence of mis-matched signatures- except this guy's and a few of friends.
So, IDK; they didn't end up with an excess of votes. And I assume that if John Jones tried to vote and found that he had already voted, there would be some ballot "curing" process.
The long term fix comes courtesy of BK, with caveats.
If voter ID is going to be required, then it has to be EASY and FREE. Period. And voting day needs to be a national holiday, with EVERYBODY off work. And 24 hour jobs, like police, fire, EMS, medical, etc, need a way to participate. If it's going to be a weekend, then Saturday AND Sunday need to be available because of various sabbath celebrations. AND, AND, AND, voting sites need to be evenly equipped with machines. Otherwise there will be even worse distribution of machines that there is now. Notice how those 6 hour lines are ALWAYS involves Black/Brown people. Not a coincidence.
If this gets done, states have to be held to a standard of fairness often missing in certain (Red/southern) states.
