Inflation eases in May

So, let us recap:

Unemployment down, check

GDP growth best in the known universe, check

Dow, S&P, NASDAQ all at record  highs, check

Gas prices under $3 (in some places), check

Now inflation easing, check

And so please explain why this is BAD. Explain where this means a looming recession. 

Explain why Biden can't sell this to anybody not to the left of Bernie.

A. 1 is up not down, and 2 is not accelerating -- at least as of the most recent data points.

B. 1 is still near historic lows, and 2 is still positive 

B. is objectively good. A. may be concerning as possible coal mine canaries of a downturn. TBD. Easing inflation sometimes has a nasty habit of quickly turning to deflation. The PPI read today was, in fact, deflationary. The Ds ought to be heralding the goodness you cite. The Rs ought to raising the concerns I just mentioned as sign the economy may have peaked.

This article says that unemployment is at a 54 year low. It has ticked up a bit since its nadir; but still  doing well 

GDP isn't great; just better than then entire rest of the world. 

The R's don't bother with any messaging related to facts (as you do). They just go with the metric that if Biden is involved, it's bad. 

But thanks for the "dismal" update. 

I still that the economy and society is a Ponzi scheme. If it doesn't grow, it's failing.
