My doggie went to heaven

Saturday I sent my good boy Bear over the rainbow bridge. Today I picked up his ashes. They were in a black gift bag on a shelf with several other bags exactly alike. 

I miss him. I'm sure the ither owners missed their fur babies too.

I know we've compared cats and dogs; but my current cat posse is very friendly. Two of them seek my out every morning and demand attention. The third, Bob is singularly devoted to my wife. I think he recognizes her as the one responsible for adopting him. He will sit with her for hours. And when she's gone or up and about, he prefers to lie where she sits. 

I'm kind of stuck saying they're "dog-like". 

We've had and lost our share of dogs, too. It is always a sad day.

I've had dogs and cats. Love them both. They can be so funny and loving. All the little personality quirks make them unique in their own ways. We are down to one dog in our house. Though we might be getting one to foster for while. Not sure yet.
