I don't get it. He's offered a "courtesy ride" and then gets dropped off at a CLOSED coffee shop. Why not take him home? The comment section is pretty unanimous in saying that this was extremely cruel, negligent and perhaps intentional. No warm clothes, wearing paper booties, in Buffalo in winter?
The comments also are fairly unanimous in saying that ICE has lost almost all credibility in describing their actions.
Maybe new expats are just embarrassed to live under this administration. Not commies or cowards. Just people that love democracy and see less and less of it here. Oh, and the guns and the decreasing access to health care, and, and, and.
And before you say something stupid (again), BK, it is NOT cowardly or communist or un-American to point out that the US is imperfect. In fact, it's guaranteed in the USC that we have the right to do exactly that. The strength of that right is unique in the US. Maybe another thing that expats don't like- the erosion of that right to protest freely without consequence.
