Today, the FOI request for Clinton emails related to her time as Sec State and her Clinton Foundation will be delayed and won't be released for 27 months.

Honestly the only person I'm disgusted with is the AG. She should have known better. 
The appearance of impropriety of the meeting along with Obama's endorsement of Hillary takes a lot of the public trust out of the investigation.
I'd be pissed if I was Hillary

Please cite a source saying it was on the plane.  Only a NEUTRAL source will be accepted.  The two articles I saw referred to the brief meeting  as being on the tarmac, which would be different than actually being on one of the planes.

She is not personally investigating Hilary.  There are expert investigators assigned to do that.   If the investigation turns up anything, then Obama will need to consider appointing a special prosecutor.  Further, it occurred on the tarmac in full view of others with nothing to hide.  Time to stop the witchhunt.  I thought people stopped believing in witches after the Salem trials.   I guess BK and Dave still do.

That said, the AG ought not be casually speaking with the wife of a person under investigation by the DOJ. Surely you get that, right?

We all know that the reason that the Republicans are trying to make an issue of the chance encounter is to try find a way to use it against Hilary and I am more than confident that you are attempting to do the same.

What makes you such a great judge of character, and why do I want to use something against Mrs. Clinton?

The AG should have simply said, "Mr. President nice to see you, but I must reframe from meeting with you at this time." Then there would be even no hint of impropriety. At best the AG demonstrated poor judgment here. Do you not see this?

It's even worse when you consider that the investigation into mishandling of classified information has been expanded to possible corruption using the Clinton Foundation of which Bill is the President. 
It's not just the DA having a private meeting with a person's wife or husband, but also Bill is a probable witness or possible subject of the investigation now as well. 

I'm sure any lawyer would tell you this is a problem.

Why would she say this if she doesn't see now that the meeting was not appropriate given the ongoing investigation?

Regret in hindsight even in the absence of an actual impropriety......isn't necessarily a cause for embarrassment in my opinion.

We have talked before here about my belief there are certain unpardonable sins among professionals. Melissa Click being another.

If the POTUS really wanted to make a clear statement about transparency being paramount within his administration, he'd accept her resignation today. Of course, that won't happen.

Given the fact that he may be called upon as a witness or may in fact be charged with a crime himself she should never have let him on her plane for a 30 minute private meeting.

I just read the USA Today article. Her comments indicate that she realizes in hindsight that meeting with WJC was a mistake because of the appearance of impropriety. I'm glad she admitted this. However, she really ought to know better.

Yeah, you make a good point, Dave. Even if she didn't do anything legally wrong (i.e. discuss the case), if the POTUS was serious about the ethics of transparency, she would be gone… as would the director of the IRS.

People have lost jobs for far less "mistakes" than this one.
