Now I wonder who might be the driving force behind this idea. Again, Trump may not be the disease; but he's the rat that carries the fleas. Sanctions against Muslims have been in vogue at least since 9/11. But more level heads could drive the narrative in a different directions. But they've been in short supply since Trump came on the scene. 

The disease was already here. Trump just spreads it rapidly.
