Typical Trump; typical Republican party. Cut down the number of voters any way possible. But this move seems like it will affect rural voters the most. But aren't they predominantly Republican voters?
Never claimed that Reps were smart, just motivated to tilt the playing field.
But I'm in favor of MORE people who are qualified getting to vote, even if they don't vote like I do. That's called a democracy. What Trump is trying to get to is NOT a democracy.
And that's what the fight is really about. It's not Dem/Rep. It's democracy/Trumpism. Pick a side. But don't fool yourself into thinking that it's related to party affiliation.

Thankfully the US has never been a democracy.

Yes, Brian; and the Southern racist slave holders were Democrats.
Get a chimpanzee to help you pick nits; we're tired of it.

And whatever we are is getting threatened by Trump.
I assume that if he gets things the way he wants that you won't call THAT a democracy.

I think I finally figured out what the democrats are mad about. They are mad because they lost ana election fair and square, not only did they lose the electoral college but they lost the popular vote as well. They lost to a candidate who said he would do certain things and he's actually doing those things. In the democracy they claim to want they got exactly what they aske for and lost. They can't stand it, Democracy I mean, when they lose. So they're having a temper tantrum, a hissy fit, like a three year old laying down in the cereal aisle a screaming a fit because they didn't get their favorite surgery cereal. Doesn't matter that Democracy is really bad for you, they want ti, but only if they win which would be insane. They are projecting onto Trump what they imagine they would do if they got the power..

Of course the real lesson is lost on the left and the right alike. The real lesson is the federal government should be just strong enough to perform it's limited Constitutional duties and that's all. So that when you lose an election you go well and live your life because it doesn't really matter.
Be nice, even when you don't want to!

Well Brian, I'm sure that I and other lefties are glad that you know what we're thinking.
Except that you're entirely WRONG. Actually full of shit.
Yes, Trump was elected. The election was probably as fair as the one in 2016 (Trump lost) and 2020 (Trump REALLY lost). But he only thinks that one of the events was fair.
And THAT is the beginning of a NOT DEMOCRACY. He has parlayed his hissy fit into an ongoing effort to subvert future elections any way he can. I really don't know how deep into a rabbit hole one must crawl to see what Trump is doing and has done. The entire DOJ is in the tank for him. In case you were clueless, this is not how it's supposed to work. The DOJ is supposed to work for OUR justice, not Trump's retribution campaign. The FBI is included. (See the next post about the DOJ). He was worked non-stop to remove people from every facet of gov't that he can. And SCOTUS is impeachably immoral; a really sad statement of current affairs.
The list is endless. Your unwillingness to see or comment is stupefying.
We didn't get what we vote for. We got what YOU voted  for. And if you didn't vote at all, or voted for a third party, then you're part of the problem.
Wait until they don't allow FWT's to vote without showing a birth certificate- their mother's.

And by the way Brian, isn't part of being in a democracy (or whatever) the right to complain about the state of affairs? Well, I'm complaining. That doesn't make me a tantrum throwing 3 year  old. It makes me a CITIZEN.

So let me get this straight....we have a sitting president who is doing the exact OPPOSITE of what you suggest the leader of our federal government should be doing....and your response is to criticize the party that lost to him??

G, that's the noise from the MAGA bubble that you're hearing.
Very Orwellian; up is down, down is up.
Or is that more like Lewis Carroll?
