And they should stay quiet because it's smart. 

In my opinion neither the drugs nor the gums should be against the law. And since the offender in this case comes from the side of the aisle that wants even more anti gun laws they should suffer the consequences of breaking those laws. 

And they shouldn't because thier principles state that the law is unconstitutional. It should be unconstitutional regardless of who's caught in the net. So they should step up and say even democrats should have the freedom to own guns. 

So maybe if the case gets to the Supreme they should step in.

Tough choice.

Hunter's sentence should be handed down AFTER Trump's. The case came later. And they  should receive exactly the same sentence. That won't stop whining from all over the political spectrum; but it could help quell the "equivalence" argument.

As for Trump, there is an EXACT sentencing guideline available. Give him the same sentence as his co-conspirator, Michael Cohen got. Period. 

It becomes a no-brainer; should appeal to a wide swath of the crazy right.
