Talk about a misleading headline this was not a protest this was an attack designed to lure officers out and kill them.

Not commenting on this  particular event; but you're a weird and inconsistent fuck, Brian.
It's legal to protest, right?
And it's legal to carry weaponry, especially in Texas. But in your rabbit hole bubble world, it's legal EVERYWHERE, right?
So why can't a protestor carry a weapon to a protest without being automatically labelled as a terrorist?
They're acting within the scope of 1A and 2A as you understand them.
Now these people MIGHT have been intending more mischief. No opinion from me.
But is the evidence THAT clear that the sentences handed down- worse than those for murder- make sense?
I guess if the jury says so, it is so.

Here's a Wiki article about the event. I'd say that these people were almost as guilty as those that stormed the US Capitol on Jan 6.
Maybe Trump will pardon them, too.
The single shooter maybe should stay in jail for a couple of months like the Jan 6 terrorists.
This is a "sauce goose/sauce gander" situation. But in Trump world, the gander gets let loose and the goose gets cooked.
And that's why DOJ is badly mis-named under this admin.
I'd suggest that a Dem POTUS should pardon these people; but I subscribe to the "two wrongs don't make a right" philosophy. What WOULD be just is if Trump's pardons could be rescinded. THAT would be justice.
Since politics seems to run to through the legal system almost entirely, perhaps lawyers could initiate civil suits against the Jan 6 goons. If they can't be jailed, sue the shit out of them. Sort of like OJ's case.

This was a planned coordinated assault on law enforcement designed to kill officers, as I said it was when it happened. There is no justifying it. This was not a spontaneous act; this was a conspiracy to commit murder of law enforcement officers. To even suggest this has any relation or comparison to the Jan 6th debacle is insane. While its true these people were motivated by Trump Derangement Syndrome you have once again shown us how badly you are infected with the same dangerous disease.
