Small Alabama town wins lawsuit allowing people to vote for the first time in decads

So white people have been appointing the gov't of the this town that is mostly black. I'm sure that SOMEBODY can explain how this is a clear demonstration that racism is a thing of the past. Oh, and that voting rights are well assured.
