Well this is what sauce goose/sauce gander means for sure. 

I wonder what they were smuggling other than stupidity. 

"Say hello to my little friend". 

Note however, that the six wounded were picked up and treated. At least the Cubans didn't go back and finish them off. And Cuban medical care is covered by the gov't.

Not only were the Americans in Cuban waters, they SHOT at the Cuban coast guard.

I don't need to consider the source. Anyone with an IQ higher than the ambient temperature should understand that all that's needed for the Cubans to open fire is the location of the boat. If you're in someone's coastal waters,  you're a priori in violation of their laws. 

The rest is history. 

If anyone in the US admin had even a HINT that the boaters were not in the wrong, they'd be screaming from the rooftops. But we have crickets. 

So, another example of expatriated Americans. Hasta la vista, babies. At least the injured survivors get good medical care for free.

It's not logic, nor did I express an opinion as to whether or not the Cubans were justified. I just reported the event. 

But we certainly DO detain boats that enter our legal waters. I don't know why you're being snarky or critical, or stupid. 

Also note that, according to the Cubanos, people on the boat fired at Cuban coast guard

Now, I'll just jump ahead and assume that if a boat in US waters starts to fire at our Coast Guard, you would support their firing back. Duh. This is obvious, given your posting history. 

New reporting says the boat occupants were Cuban/American. Maybe headed there to smuggle out a family member? Maybe the start of an invasion to overthrow their gov't? Or maybe trying to relocated away from the US. More expats? Maybe they were trying to smuggle drugs BACK where they came from. 

But whatever, countries have the right to defend their coastal waters.
