This woman says it all in the best of terms.
A serious case of buyer's remorse. She admits to being "an idiot".
That's one; now we just need 70 million more. Actually, fewer than that will do the job.
And it seems like there are a LOT of them out there.

Meh......several million voters or so probably regret their vote sometime during the term of the person they voted for.....Obama, Clinton, Bush...you name it. I wouldn't brand this one incident as being indicative of any grand shift in the dipshittery of our voting population.

I know plenty of people who are quite happy with their choice. I suspect they still represent the VAST majority of MAGA voters.

Whether the totality of remorse is material will be tested in eight months. My guess is DT has about four months for Americans to see about $1 drop in a gallon of gas, no material ongoing conflict in Iran, and CPI and PPI inflation trends to reverse, the unemployment rate to fall to 4.3 or under again, and the Dow to approach 50k again. If two or three of these things haven't happened by 8/1, then look for many GOPers on the Hill to start distancing themselves from DT, and look for a GOP slaughter in Nov.

Dave, always with the economics. But this time it's probably on target. People still often check their pocketbooks to decide how to vote, so-called "kitchen table issues". Or as James Carville said so many years ago, "It's the economy stupid". So finally all those arcane economic chickens are coming home to roost. I'm not sure if Joe/Jane American know what the CPI/PPI are; but they know the price of gasoline and eggs. And they know if they themselves or some friends/relatives are out of a job. Don't know if J/J A. care about the Dow; but if they enough pictures of oil fields in Kuwait, Dubai, etc on fire, they'll care.
G, you're right. Every year plenty of people have buyer's remorse. Maybe it's how the media looks at it; but the remorse seems more palpable this time. Maybe it has to do with how dedicated MAGA folks are to Trump, how SURE they were that he was IT. The disappointment is perhaps greater this time around. Let's hope so.

I think you might underestimate the complete control Mr. Trump has over his minions. Raping kids isn't enough to have them rise up. Bombing Iran as a distraction to the former? Nope.

I don't think there is a level of pain......economic or otherwise.....that could break his spell in the next 3 years.

G,  your stance is pessimistic; but sadly couched in reality. People might "distance" themselves from Trump; but for politicians this might mean moving an inch or two away so that they can get re-elected without his coattails. As for voters, I'm hoping that this woman is an avatar for a few million more disaffected Trumpists.
But if the Democrats don't nominate a really decent candidate for POTUS and sell people on their qualities it might not matter. In REAL world, the Presidential race is binary. And there are a lot of MAGA-ites who might vote for any R that is nominated. Sort of a "yellow dog Republican" situation. I'm hoping that the Rep nominee is so damaged by being tied to Trump that he/she gets the 35% of the vote that Trump currently seems to able to garner. JD Vance looks like the probable nominee. He's got less than ZERO personality. Also less than ZERO principles. Trump was a "Nazi" until he wasn't. Vance was anti-war until Trump wasn't. Etc. But being without principles never seems to hurt a Republican candidate.
