Republican House member makes disgusting anti-Islam post. Speaker does nothing.

It's not news or surprising that more than a few Republican House members are known for racist, homophobic, etc comments. But it's sad that Speaker Johnson doesn't care to do anything about it. 

By not reprimanding, or worse, the congressman, his actions are silently being condoned. And that just invites more of the same. And if bigoted members of Congress can speak without consequence, lower life forms might be incentivized to take things a step further. 

A civilized Republican party would take steps to marginalize this kind of speech. But instead the party accepts it and by silence encourages it

I would choose my dog over a Muslim. For examole if I invited a Muslim to my home and they said they wouldn't come in as long as my dog was in the house I would bid them adios. Of course I would do that with just about anyone so yeah I guess I'm I racist. I would choose my dog over most humans. 

That being said there is a particular aspect of Islam that some practitioners beleive, and that is that dogs keep angels out of your home or let devils in. I've heard both. So anyway I am about to feed my dog.

It's clear that Islam, properly followed, calls for the humane treatment of dogs. But stupid interpretation of religious teachings isn't unique to Islam. 

The article makes a really salient point. When a Christian abuses or neglects an animal, they're just being assholes. When a Muslim does it they're being a follower of an evil religion. And that's just wrong

I think you missed the meaning of the representative's comment. He was saying that dogs in general are preferable to Muslims in general. You agree? 

"Some of my best friends are Muslims". "Some of my best friends are dogs". 

This all started with a Tweet from a Muslim in New York commenting about the uncleanliness of dogs and the Mayor talking about how to handle dog poop. The guy who Tweeted was ignorant of his own religion. Maybe he needs to read the articles. Whether clean or not, a dog in the possession of a Muslim is entitled to proper care. Also noted is that Muhammed had dogs.
