I'm posting this as an example of poor/misleading reportage. This doctor is highly respected in cancer research circles. He might actually be a good appointee. Plenty of respected doctors bought into hydroxychloroquine and Ivermectin for Covid. I even know a few. Personally I'm not a fan of unproven remedies. But Ivermectin is pretty safe; so trotting it out early made a bit of sense. Hydroxy-Q has plenty of side effects and should be used for proven situations. It became so popular that people that were already on it for approved conditions couldn't get their prescriptions filled. Meh.
But point is that this doc shouldn't be tagged for his endorsement of unapproved treatments for Covid, not unless he was being appointed to the CDC. Gotta look at the bigger picture.
