So I read the reports from Fox non-News and the NY Post. They make the claim that BK does. No need to forward them here

The CPD says quite differently. Their contention is that the CPD DID respond to federales call for assist. They then perhaps didn't do what Fox/Post/BK wanted and open fire on their own citizens; but they were there. Perhaps the right thing to do was assemble nearly and monitor. I don't know. Do you, Brian? 

So far only the most rightist media sites tell it like you do. 

I remain skeptical until someone shows video. 

Even then, why can't 30 ARMED federals protect themselves? How many soldiers does it take to screw in a lightbulb anyway? 

And then there's an entirely separate issue at hand. According to reliable sources, THIS is what 2A was designed for- citizens protecting themselves from government tyranny. I don't understand why BK  isn't cheering them on. These feds are breaking a dozen laws every time they show up. Brian says that citizens have the right to be armed to protect themselves from this. 

Is the problem, perhaps, that the "wrong" people are asserting their rights? Huh, huh? 

Should be white militias going up against progressive jackboots. But instead.................

Of course Trump is going to love this; because it will permit him to escalate his incursion  into US territory. 

It is upon us.

Takeover sounds like some sort of extra legal coup, Ken. DT was democratically installed and, so far at least, has not be charged with any crimes (while in office) by the Congress. And of course he won't be so long as the democratically installed political power structure remains status quo -- the BoR notwithstanding. 

This brand of tyranny is happening as most tyrannies of substance do, Ken -- at the ballot box. And this is why democracy is potentially as threatening to liberty as any form of governance. Tyrannies born or violence or otherwise non-democratic coercion tend to happen in non-consequential nation states and/or are generally short-lived, often to be replaced with something only slightly more or less tyrannical.

In this respect, G (with his oft low-brow mocking pessimism and utter selfishness outlook) is spot on. This current brand of tyranny is a product of the WtP, not an afront to us.

Trump is actually correct when he says "People like dictators".....the implied part is "...who think like I do, and dislike the same people that I do". 

 (and my mocking pessimism is quite HIGH-brow, thank you very much!)

Dave, I'm not sure I get what you're saying.

Yes, Trump was elected. So were Hitler and Mussolini. So what? They went on to usurp power not intended for them to wield. Trump is clearly working to have way more power than that assigned to him by virtue of his office. The fact that Congress won't wield its granted powers is............ I don't know. I suppose that it's your contention that this was all the result of recent elections. So be it. BUT, that's not the issue. The issue is the NEXT election, and the ones after that. If Trump continues to prevail, those elections will be rigged and have little in common with the will of WTP. Stalin, Hitler, Mussolini, Putin and all the rest hold elections. They LOVE them. The 90+% favorable returns amplifies their claim of a mandate and the approval of the citizenry that doesn't actually exist. 

But you know this. Trump is working to this effect this end. He wants continued power, perhaps continued time in office. He is NOT trying to end elections; he IS trying to make elections irrelevant. They'll be held; but the results are pre-determined. I assume that you (and G) can see things headed this way. If not, continue to read my  posts. I'll persist at explaining it.

Ken you're on the wrong side of every political issue we discuss except for Israel. I'm glad we at least have that common ground which means you aren't a complete idiot.

Your Trump Derangement Syndrome is not evidence of tyranny only that you are part of a group psychosis. I wish you well.

Trump Derangement Syndrome to me is the disease that affects MAGA sycophants and those like you. Millions of people who scrap and bow to Trump, Bondi, Miller, Patel, Leavitt and the rest. Nobody questions what is said. Lies pour forth in waves, never to be questioned. When these clowns go before Congress to answer to those assigned to do oversight, they ATTACK. They don't answer question, either from Republicans or Democrats. All you need to do is watch any of these events. Now THAT'S deranged behavior. A total abrogation of free thought and analysis. Just, "Trump is right. What he says is IT. What his minions say is always correct. Do NOT question them". 

When did you cede your ability to engage in free thinking? 

And we not agree on Israel. entirely. I don't really favor the extent to which they've destroyed Gaza. They've targeted other enemies much more surgically. They have in the past disabled or slowed Iran's nuclear  program without firing a shot. They sabotaged centrifuges, turned cell phones into weapons, etc. No mass killings. 

When they first went into Gaza my first  assumption was that the death tolls were Palestinian propaganda. That's their common MO. But as things progressed, it became clear that things were actually real. And I know how Hamas does business. They use civilians, including schools/hospitals, etc as shields for their activities. Even so, wholesale razing of Gaza isn't really necessary. Maybe they're doing it for Trump so he can develop the area as a resort destination. 

As for being on the wrong side of current politics, all you need to do, ONCE, is defend your position. Explain how Trump and his posse are NOT what I claim. We all have eyes/ ears. Just explain how we should be comfortable with what we are all seeing. G and DF are not convinced in the least that what they see/hear is what you claim. Forget about me; I'm a lost cause. Explain to them how things are  going so well.
