This year close to a billion Hindus will celebrate the New Year on March 23rd on the first day of the bright fortnight of Chaitra which is the first month of the Hindu lunar calendar. The holy festival is known by various names, such as Gudhi Padwa, Yugaadi and Cheti Chand. The start of the Hindu New Year day is replete with natural, historic and spiritual significance and signifies the start of a new "Satyug". As per Hindu Scriptures, Shree Rama, an Incarnation of Shree Vishnu, slayed the unrighteous king Vali on this day. Spiritually, it is the day of creation of the universe by Shree Brahma and the purest of the eras, the Satyayug started from this day. From March 23, Spiritual purity will increase in all the seven celestial regions as described in Hindu Scriptures. As a result, the maximum divine vibrations are transmitted towards earth. It is also predicted that the time starts to change from March 23 towards the positive towards creation of a new era!
We in Delhi NCR are so lucky that we will experience the Divine Blessings of Poojya Gurudev immediately after the start of the New Year.
