Dear Ivan,
I have read the information about Lewis' presentation about the Sabbath. As far as I know, it was true that new moon Sabbaths, the Sabbath of the atonement, and many other Sabbaths could fall on any day other than the weekly sabbath.
Though Gregory changed the monthly and yearly calenders, he never changed the weekly calendar and therefore the Sabbath of creation was never affected.
Any other comment? To me the Sabbath is still kept even by the Jews the way it was from Abraham's time.

Subject: Are Sabbath keepers worshiping on the wrong day?

Dear Brethren,
Could we share thoughts on the following post which is part of a series by one pentecostal pastor called Craige G. Lewis called Traditions?

TRADITIONS 106 by Craig Lewis (
http://www.exministries.com)

Those that presently claim to be “Sabbath keepers” are not really keeping the true Jewish Sabbath because they are using the wrong calendar. The original calendar described in the Torah, and used by Moses, was based upon the phases of the moon, not a continuous weekly cycle. This lunar calendar was used for all the feast days, including the weekly Sabbath. Since the biblical calendar is based on the moon, it does not correspond to the days of the modern, Gregorian calendar. For example, the Sabbath is not always on Saturday. The Sabbath could be on Wednesday one month, and Thursday the next.

While "Sabbath keepers" may have good intentions, they cannot use a pagan calendar, which is based on the phases of the sun, to designate a given day as “The Lord's Day”. The modern calendar was created by Julius Caesar in 45BC to honor Roman gods and goddesses. The days recognized the following false gods:

1.Saturn (Saturn's Day- Saturday)
2.Sun (Sun's Day- Sunday)
3.Moon (Moon's Day - Monday)
4.Mars (Tiu's Day- Tuesday)
5.Mercury (Woden's Day- Wednesday)
6.Jupiter (Thor's Day- Thursday)
7.Venus (Freya's Day- Friday)

Ivan,
I think 5his man is misplaced. While the gregorian calendar distorted the days, the weekly days remain intact.  And as he has mentioned, the good intention is what matters in the sight of God. The good intetion is to keep the Sabbath day which is on the seventh day nad not on any other day.

As the days before change were 7, still in the gregorian calendar they are 7. He oriented counting starting on Monday but we maintained counting on Sunday so there is alot ot misunderstanding by this so called pastor.

Dear all,

I think the text hereunder can answer the question on when do we start counting to get the seventh day.

Leviticus 23:15 And ye shall count unto you from the morrow after the sabbath......................
