Why another list?

Well, representatives from various groups and institutions here have
been talking the same thing of late: Fonts for Kannada. Several of
them have been talking to me, discussing about where to start, how to
start, what needs to be done etc.

I've created this list since everybody has been talking about the
same, but the discussions were limited to each group or institution.
We could all discuss, interact with each other and could do a better
job together. I've also invited our own informal group from around
Sampada who've had interest in this.

Feel free to invite your friends, students, and others who take
interest in Kannada fonts. Put your queries to the list, log your
activities on the list and make sure everybody gets to know and
participate. Let us coordinate all the efforts for the betterment of
Kannada on digital world. :-)
