to KanjiVG
Hello,

I'm developing a tool to help learners practice writing kanji using digital devices (e.g., graphics tablets, styluses). I'm planning to release it for free and it uses KanjiVG to:

Display an optional SVG overlay for users to trace.

Compare each user drawn stroke to the KanjiVG path and calculate a precision score.

I have two questions about the license for user stroke data:

If a user traces the SVG overlay and we save their stroke data, does the traced stroke data fall under CC BY SA 3.0?

If the overlay is disabled and we only use the KanjiVG paths to score their strokes, is the saved stroke data still covered by CC BY SA 3.0?

I want to ensure that any future features and aspects related to user privacy remain fully compliant with your license.

Thank you for your time and help.

I want to clarify that my questions concern the ShareAlike and "no additional restrictions" terms of CC BY‑SA 3.0.

The tool's goal is to help learners improve writing speed and legibility by comparing their strokes to KanjiVG SVG paths.
I need to know whether saving users' traced strokes when the overlay is enabled and their raw stroke data when it's disabled falls under CC BY-SA 3.0.
If the license prevents limiting distribution or restricting use of that data, it could raise some privacy concerns and affect some planned features.
