Subject: [EdGIS] New GPS activity online
Folks:
I created a new GPS activity on ArcLessons:
Get Outside with GPS!
http://edcommunity.esri.com/arclessons/lesson.cfm?id=533
Get outside with GPS is an activity where students are asked 22 questions that requires them to use their GPS receiver. How fast can you run? Can you draw your name as a track? How far is it to the Royal Observatory? What feature is at specific latitude and longitude coordinates? These and other questions are designed to help students understand history, mathematics, geography, geodesy, Earth Science, and to get outside!
