Right, so on my plain old regular desktop at home (has Skype and AIM
and Google Talk and F@H, but all exited) I created an app called
HomeTest, went into windows firewall and allowed inbound connections
through UDP port 25857 (since that's what the app chose), logged on to
my router at "
http://f**kyeahdinosaurs." (
http://192.168.15.1/ in my
case for the actual ip). Went to the port forwarding section,
forwarded UDP port range 25857-25857 to address 192.168.15.121 (my
machine) and TCP port range 80-80 to address 192.168.15.121 (my
machine). After those 3 steps and starting my server up, everyone here
at Kaneva was able to access it no problem. Although simply DMZing
your ip and allowing UPnP IGD is the same as forwarding every single
uncategorized port to your machine. Meaning that if your router
recognizes port 80 or port 25857, it will not get forwarded to your
machine.
If all those things match up and
kaneva.com says your server is
running, then your ISP will be the one to blame.
