Stop a sound that is playing via a call to kgp.soundPlayOnClient

Is there any way to stop a sound that is playing via a call to kgp.soundPlayOnClient? Also, is there a way to call this from the ClientEngine (like ClientEngine_PlaySound or something) to avoid unnecessary back and forth between the menu and the server?

I can check with engineering to see if they are working on a
kgp.soundStopOnClient(...) but I am not aware of this. It was
designed for short sound effects that would not require stopping.

Also the ClientEngine sounds and the kgp sounds are not intended to
interoperate. The ClientEngine only will play sounds that are
defaulted in the client for example those used in KaChing.
