Balakrishna S G on Mrdangam.

About the artist:
    Ananthalakshmy, a carnatic classical vocalist, is a graceful blend of many talents and accomplishments. She was initiated into carnatic classical vocals by her mother, Parvathy Sundararaman at the age of 5. Her other gurus include Palai C.K Ramachandran and Srikantam Nagendra Sastry. She has also received training in violin under the tutelage of K.P. Jayasree and Edapalli Jayamohan for 10 years. Many awards and prizes have come her way at state level competitions.She was awarded the 'yuvakalsri' puraskara by Sriraghavendra Devasthana and Srikantam Sangeetha Sabha. Ananthalakshmy is academically accomplished, currently pursuing her Ph.D at IISc Bangalore.
