Regret to convey the sad demise of Sri R.
a.Ganapathy last night at 7=30. Though the news ,itself evokes sad
emotions, the PASSING AWAY HAS COME AT
Pradosha time on SHIVARATHRI NIGHT. What a great soul he has been to
attain his Shivapadam on Shivarathri day. We can only admire
Mahaperiava's Karunyam in this incident. He was so close to HIM
throughout his life time and if lacs and and lacs of people are aware
of Mahaperiava's Karunya Manas, it is greatly due a lot of His
Bhakthas and one among them is this great writer
( as Mahaperiava usually addresses him!). I am only happy that my long
period prayer to Mahaperiava, for his dharsan was answered just two
months ago.Mahaperiava is THE PRATHYAKSHA DEIVAM. and it is the
absolute truth.

Respected Sri Ra Ganapathi was simply an outstanding personality. The
very fact that he was close to HH Acharya automatically indicates that
he was a blessed soul. For his brilliant anecdotes as well as his
extra ordinary efforts in compliling the Deivathin Kural, every one of
us must be greatly indebted to him.
The very fact that he has attained the lotus feet of HH Acharya on A
Pradosham day just prior to Maha Siva Rathri reveals the fruition of
his Bhakthi.
Let all of us pray with gratitude for him!

the way the end comes. That he passed away at such an auspicious time is a
testimony to his piety. More importantly, periyava continues to bless His
devotees regardless of His physical presence. What more proof is required
that He is Ishwara that walked this earth!

Deivathin Kural!
The sanctity of the soul is reflected on it being "whisked away" on a
Mahasivarathri which evidences the purity of its contribution.

Ra. Ganapati is a great soul. His writings in Kalki and Bharanidharan's writings in Ananda Vikatan introduced Maha PeriyavaL's teachings and Presence to me in my younger days. A few years ago, I visited him at his humble single room accommodation and did Namaskarams to him. He said that he was unwell and could not hear properly, but he blessed us all. I saw a small Maha PeriyavaL photo and Shirdi Sai Baba Photo by the side of his cot.He never coveted fame or money and simply lived in the world as a true Karma Yogi. Without his efforts, Deivathin Kural 7 Volumes and many instances on Maha Swamigal's life would not have been published. He was keenly devoted to Maha Swamigal, Sri Chandrasekhara Bharathi Maha Swamigal of Sringeri,Bhagavan Ramana Maharshi, Sri Ramakrishna Paramahamsa, Sri Satya Sai Baba and Yogi Ramsuratkumar. He was a keen proponent of Aikya or Unity among the various Sankara Mathas. He used to call the Mahaswamigal, Sri Chandrasekhara Bharathi Maha Swamigal and Bhagavan Ramana Maharshi as the Advaita Triumvirate of the 20th century. He merged with the Absolute on Maha Sivarathri day, chanting the Naama till the end. What greater example of Mukhthi, there could be? I wish and pray that Shri. Karthikeyan, Proprieter of LKM Publications, T. Nagar, Chennai on behalf of Shri. Ra. Ganapati's Dhivya Vidya Trust, bring out regularly his hitherto unpublished works and already published works, as a continuing homage to the great man and his piety. I feel greatly blessed to have Sri. Ra. Ganapati's Dharshan at least once in my life.
It is great that Maha Periyaval's Jayanthi and Shri. Ra. Ganapati's Shraddhaanjali coincide on the 4th June 2012. It is quite proper though devotees have paid in their individual capacities Homage to Shri. Ra. Ganapati. Long back this Maha Shivarathri day when Sri. Ra. Ganapati cast off his mortal coils. He will be remembered whenever Maha Periyaval is remembered.
I also would like to state the contribution of Kalaimagal Shri.Narayanaswamy Iyer, Shri. Ki. Vaa. Jagannathan, B.G. Paul & Sons (Sri Kamakoti Kochasthaanam) Shri. Neelakanta Iyer, all ardent devotees of Maha Swamigal. Shri. Ki. Vaa. Ja took down verbatim Maha SwamigaL's lectures during his visits to Madras in 1932 and 1957-59 and published them as AcharyaL UpadesangaL. These valuable works could be considered as the Seed-capital of what Sri. Ra. Ganapati so meticulously compiled as Deivaththin Kural. Let us remember with pride the great contribution of all these great souls and try to live as per Dharmic principles, which is what Maha SwamigaL taught us all his Divine Life!
