can not start jetty

Hi

as I wrote im may last mail. jetty do not start:

kanbanik-runtime/jetty/bin # ./jetty.sh start      
Starting Jetty: start-stop-daemon: invalid option -- 'd'
Try `start-stop-daemon --help' for more information.

Usage:
    start-stop-daemon -S|--start options ... -- arguments ...

Options (at least one of --exec|--pidfile|--user is required):
    -x|--exec <executable>       program to start/check if it is running
    -p|--pidfile <pid-file>      pid file to check
    -u|--user <username>|<uid>   stop this user's processes
    -n|--name <process-name>     start/stop processes with this name
    -s|--signal <signal>         signal to send (default 15)
    -t|--test                    test mode, don't do anything
    -o|--oknodo                  exit status 0 (not 1) if nothing done
    -q|--quiet  |  -v, --verbose

there is no option -d

yeah, by default it is 8080, to change it you need to set the JETTY_PORT env variable to something to 4041. But 8080 is also a nice port to use :)

Strange it does not work using the start.sh on suse, will need to followup on it anyway

Hi Andy,

it seems that this version of jetty do not like your suse for some reason. Can you just bypass the jetty.sh and call it directly by:
java -jar start.jar
