Kamon 1.0 & Datadog

Hi,

Congratulations on the 1.0 release!

I've noticed that the Datadog and StatsD backends still are not aligned to 1.0 version.

My question is, if the 0.6 version is compatible with the 1.0 core, and if not, when it's scheduled?

If there's need for contribution I'd be glad to help.

Hello there, thanks!

Kamon 0.6.x and 1.0.0 are not compatible, you can take a look at the migration guide[1] to have an idea of what needs to change in order to upgrade, and let us know what is missing because we most certainly missed some details there.

The Datadog module will be out in a couple days, probably over the weekend. Not so sure about the StatsD one, though.. we need to come up with a strategy to translate metric names + tags to StatsD's simpler model... will let you know once the release is out!

I actually realized there is a GitHub branch for v1.0. Is there anything I can contribute to if the release cannot be done yet?
