why kamon-log-reporter should not be used in Production

Hi All,

We want to use Kamon-log-reporter to log the metrics and report it using Splunk Dashboard.
In the project's readMe it is mentioned that it should not be used in production environment.

Please let me know the challenges we would face if we use it in production environment.
